Where is this? Line relocation? landslide?

      Hemi,

This is in De Beque Canyon just north of Palisade, CO. They temporarily relocated the river so that they could build yet another fish ladder for an endangered fish. I just happened to see that they were using a MP flat car body for a bridge. These boys better hurry because I am willing to bet that the Colorado River will start rising soon.

Just how accessible is this location? Just off I-70?
      Thanks for the info!

A fish ladder? There must be a dam nearby?

Yes their sure is. The Palisade roller dam is pretty close to this location.

      Hemi,

The location is easily viewed from I-70. However their is not a good place to stop and get out of your vehicle here. This shot was taken from the passenger seat in my brother's truck while doing around 70 mph. The only real good access would be by raft down the Colorado River. But then rafts and dams are not good combinations either.
