Wow! The progress seems to be quite rapid in this part with the scenery. Although, I have to admit, it was almost as good when it was just your nice green lattice. I'm sure it will green up again once trees start growing on it. I'm just curious though, what material were you using to make your lattice? Is this just simply plaster hard shell construction, or are you using some other methods for the scenery base and rock work?
Hi PGE: I think the construction methods for the ground cover are pretty conventional. In order of build up... - cardboard profile board - strips of bristol board woven into a lattice - plaster cloth - sculptamold - WS LW hydrocal castings and carved rock - latex paint & pavers sand (granite) and then the following all wetted and bonded with dilute matte medium as req'd - various talus stones - ground foams - real dirt and real leaves - static grasses I hope that helps! md
