      In the back of my mind, I seem to recall reading somewhere, that L&N also operated through this town? If so, did they both have seperate lines? Or were there trackage rights of one over the other's rails?

      Actually, this is L&N track, C&O had trackage rights from Lexington to Louisville.
      Anchorage (HK tower) was, still is, the junction of the 'short line' to Cincinnati with the line to Lexington - Winchester, now owned by R J Corman.
      H K Tower was also the end of double track from Louisville and the start of C T C to Cincinnati. The tower was torn down before I started railfanning in the early sixties.
