Shenandoah Junction, WV

Possibly the best railfanning location in the middle Atlantic states. The area shown offers a front row seat to the busy Cumberland division of the CSX. In the background is the Hagerstown divison of the NS. It only takes a short drive in either direction (or walk) to photograph the NS trains. On a good weekend day ten or more railfans congregate here and repay the property owner by mowing, weedwacking, and cleaning up the trash.
