SP Open Hopper #466540

These H-100-36, Model 70, 2-bay open hopper cars were all built to the same basic design by Greenville Steel Car Co. They featured 2300 ft3 cubic capacity. These cars were very common in Texas and Louisiana hauling sand and gravel. This one is in Redwood City, CA, at the Graniterock Quarry.
