The rib sides are interesting. Do any of these cars survive?

Some survive in one way or another. SP eventually removed most of the corrugated sides from their Pullman built cars making the smooth side because of corrosion in the Cor Ten steel behind the stainless steel fluting. When the T&NO discontinued the Sunbeam these cars went to the Pacific Lines. The Observation cars were converted to the home built SP dome cars which many still exist. One is in Panama now on the KCS owned railroad there.
