This is my latest layout in my studio apt. It consists of shelf brackets supporting a wood track bed shelf, a backdrop I painted,,and a Styrofoam extension for an atlas turntable that I am kit bashing. The main line is 12 ft long with a six foot siding leading to the turntable,,a painted vegetable can serves as a water tower. Some of the back drops are cut out buildings,, switches and turntable are working and electrified,,except I crank the turntable which is hidden under the water tower. The depiction is a desert scene in Winslow az,,with great liberties taken in the creative license area. I had thousands of dollars of locomotives left over from a previous layout,,and I figured why let them sit when I can at least run them on a shelf layout to keep them in tune.
