Visited in 2007. Some of the inside shots are a little dark but there was for sure some cool displays.
Nice shots. We've ridden the Strasburg Railroad multiple times and consumed all of our time there, rather than visit the museum. NEXT time, we visit the museum! It's so nice to see this valuable equipment safely preserved indoors.
That museum is a treasure and anyone nearby should visit it, as I, as a rabid fan of the Pennsy's competitor, the New York Central, have done. It's great.
That's one fantastic place. Everything is clean and bright - the building, the rolling stock... And the exhibits are beautiful. Steam, electric, diesel, everything! I suspect that if I visited, they'd have to drag me out of there at closing time!
I knew it was significant, but had no idea this museum was so large. How much equipment is static display and how much might be operated?
