Got a text from a friend early Friday that this double H train was getting set to head east, sooo I headed out the door without finishing my java!
Great video, thanks. I was going to comment on the exceptional acceleration from only two locos on the front. Then I saw the two mid-train DPUs, and went "Oh, Okay".
And even though it is an eastbound with a lot of loads, it was hitting 45, which is the limit here. Sure is fun!
My new metal wheels are in but ummmm, they were supposed to be N scale. Actually, I saw this rolling down the road in front of my office Friday afternoon. No outlet the direction it was headed so I tracked it down and this is the best shot I could get as the truck was already in the UPS Freight terminal parking lot. There are only 5 facilities in the business park where I work that have rail spurs. One of those is empty and the company I work for operates the other 4 and I knew we were not handling wheelsets. It was a really an odd thing to see where it was at.
LOL, you are probably right. Sorry, just realized I somehow posted this in the wrong thread. Was supposed to be in the Random Railroad Images. Hope you will excuse the error.
A random unvandalized BN, The slot machine was back and unloading, Not too bad for an oldster! 7719 has a patch job and.. A GP60M trailing! And the first 1:1 train video I got this week. A slow 10mph crawl out of the yard. I did not count the cars, but two units and a long string of empties. With the BNSF' speed restrictions for fuel savings, it probably went ok.
That didn’t make sense. They have possibly repainted the locomotive to UP standards and have Electromotive’s name for the SD70 in the center of the locomotive. Though they used cloth to add the leasers name and road number in the appropriate locations? I don’t get it. They must have put the wrong information under the cloth.
