Is that what those long ones were supposed to look like? Here's one from my parts box: And since I have a nasty habit of not leaving well enough alone... A little bit of shortline action (ouch). I get very little "tanks" for my effort. (OUCH!) I'm here all night folks. Try the beef... (btw, the crumbs on the table aren't from food. that's leftover plastic from sawing out the middle)
A 33k LPG Tank Car, SHPX 17430 was BO'd by last nights yard crew due to a stuck hand brake. Here is a picture of it on a deary mid morning in March 1968 in Ravenswood, WV.
Good job Candy. I've been thinking about doing the "Oil Cans" train that used to run between Bakersfield and Carson California on the late Espee
Amazing stuff, Jon. My theory is that you just buy 1:1 scale equipment and shrink it. But hey, whatever works.
If I'm not too late, how about these? Ralph Edit: I moved these over from the tank car contest. Great shots but the poll was closed and a winner selected over there.
Ralph, Excellent weathering. I had to do a double take on the UTLX 301593 before I realized that it is a model. Carl
Let's get tanked! Just thought I'd trow a couple of shots into this mix. This is the first time I've weathered a tank car...used ground pastels for the rust on the tank. Floquil paint pens on the trucks and wheels...Hope you like 'em.
