The layout was started about twenty four years ago (track plan first post) left for about ten then re-started, converted to DCC about three years ago. Here's the construction of a footbridge which takes workers to the colliery.
Fantastic layout. One thing we don't use as much over here as yet, are those fiber grasses. Some do, but a lot of us are still stuck on the foam clumps. (there's a joke here as they do get everywhere.) What brand is that diesel in the last few shots. It's got some nice grill detail on it and looks like you can see through those vents and grills.
Once you use static grass you won't use anything else, I've been modeling for forty-five years and this stuff is really good. The diesel is a Backmann, now fitted with a Locksound chip, fantastic sound, gear changes too! PS. More pics later.
Here's some movement. http://youtu.be/0S0WOTV1zbo http://youtu.be/TufRACkfMWI http://youtu.be/6JBkRnzO9Pg http://youtu.be/pNXNK1seTV8 http://youtu.be/y4cAdgVT_2c http://youtu.be/akYsIQuaYXU http://youtu.be/gmS12ID6Zao Before and after shots.
Do you air brush your road bed after the scenics are all in? I like how the rust color overlaps with the surroundings.
The only thing I can cite as looking poor is the non-fascia front edges on the benchwork ! ! Otherwise, gear fab gov !
The whole layout is absolutely amazing! Superb detailing and overall look. Very believable! Love the videos, but I am a little worried about the Standard 5 moving without a driver
At that moment Alan, he bent down to pick up a half crown that he'd dropped :cute:I guess your old enough to know what is :teeth:
