    Hi All,

This was started about twenty years ago, left for eight years but recently re-started with detailing work. It's typical of the South Wales valleys including a colliery.

00 SMP track with scratchbuilt points, mainly scratchbuilt buildings and some kit loco's.

Plenty of pictures, but here are just a few.

    Phil

Very impressive! Don't see too many British layout around here, nice to see one! Out of curiosity, I see chains hanging from the wagons in the 3rd picture of the 2nd post. Do you actually couple them together that way or is that just for show?

    Welcome to train board!

    Thanks for your kind words.

Re- couplings, the chains are there for show, but if you look closely you will see a bar above the chain, this is for Spratt & Winkle couplers.

Wow. Great modeling and excellent photography! I had to look twice at the first black and white, as I thought it was the real thing.

Here's an area that needs a lot of work, I have'nt decided on what station buildings to create yet and also what to do with the areas either side. The backs of terraced houses is an idea but there's not much room because of the ceiling angle.

I've also chucked in a few extra pics.

Is your backdrop commercial? Or from your own photography? Or?

Some colliers houses to go next to the public bridge. Some Photoshopped to give an idea what they willlook like on the layout.

Here's some more detailing, a chapel poster, unfortunately it's only as good as the DPI of the printer, but impossible to read with the naked eye anyway!

Oh! and a door knob and letter box.

After fitting that downpipe, the labourer was sacked :)
