    Hello all,

every year the FREMO americaN group celebrates its great meeting in Lauffen am Neckar in Southern Germany. In the last years we always had layouts with more of 300 ft of modules.
It´s not a public show event; prototypical operation with dispatcher and TWC is taken for granted as well as car forwarding with carcards & waybills at the FREMO "club members only" gatherings. Since I was very busy with playing trains I shot the footage for the video half an hour before we began dismantling the layout. So the emphasis is more on the layout than on running trains. If you want to keep the orientation, just look at the attached layout plan.

    0:00: the mainline
    5:07: Haslingen Steel
    6:23: Trunklaid branch
    8:18: California spur
    9:29: TT branch
    11:23: Cement branch

The attached layout plan is an excellent aid to recognizing the scenes. As always, I see excellent modeling work. :)

I like the areas of scenery without any industry or structures. For me, it is more prototypical than a layout or set of modules that are all in an urban or industrial setting.. Well done!

    Hello Roger,

it´s very hard to get modules with just tracks on them. Most people want at least a spur on their module. For this reason I refused to register my town Appaloosa Junction and my staging yard Erehwyna Yard for this years meeting in Lauffen, because the distances between the town would have been even shorter... In last autumn we had a good relation of scenery and towns on a small layout at a local meeting in Bavaria:

Thats´s the kind of layout I like very much. A little bit more relaxed branchline feeling

Thanks for the video. The track plan was a big help and the entire layout was well executed.

I had to watch this again. Saw all kinds of details I'd missed the first time!

Pretty Cool!!!! The steel plant was pretty awesome,,, I love the large structures,, really make the trains look small.
