Nice looking locomotive. It's interesting to see how the design of the Pacific is evolving towards the later K Class. This one has had the older slide valve design replaced with piston valves, yet still has an older style boiler and spoked wheels. Also interesting is that the nearer passenger car appears to be steel, but the one behind is obviously wooden. You certainly have access to an interesting collection of "stuff" Roger, thanks for sharing.
Very nice photo. I wonder how tall the drivers were on this lady? Had the Central gone to 79 inches in 1910? :tb-confused:
