I'm going to order the Trainworld 2-8-0 Consolidated special for $60. It only comes as undecorated.

I was wondering if any one can provide me with some roadnames (and numbers too if you have them) that used this loco? This way I can get the correct set of Microscale decals. Thanks.

I'm partial to the ERIE myself. I think I'd even make it #2100. (my great grandfather in Erie consolidation #2100 at Spring Valley NY. 1947)

Is it my imagination, or is the Erie an under-modelled road? I really like the look of the loco above, pity we don't see more Erie steam.

I would say it's under modeled. Although it seems there is more Erie stuff than ever before. Chris did a great job modifying that consolidation to get it Erie accurate. That's just one of his Erie specific projects, take a look at his Railimages...he's done several! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

The Reading and Western MD used a number of consolidations. A little closer to home, the Jersey Central also used the wheel arrangement in the camelback configuration. When my kitbashing skills develop a little more, I intend to turn one into a camelback.

Thanks a lot guys for the info. This will certainly help me out when I get the loco.

    D. Rickle, Spring Valley, NY huh? That's only minutes from where I am! Great pic of your great grandfather.
