    7-DAY POLL HAS BEEN MOUNTED TO SELECT A 2-8-2 BODY SHELL STYLE.

    Please select the body types (A,B,C) that you would purchase.
    Paid reservations in advance will be accepted AFTER the shell as been tested for;
    detail accuracy,
    finish, and
    acceptable operation using required weight.

    if i had to choose it would be the "J" class, but the Rio Grande K-59 (a standard gauge work horse) would be my first preference. the "J" is the closest to the K-59 which is the only unit i (personally) would buy.

    Gosh, just to have a Mikado 2-8-2 that's not "anorexic" like the Marklin one would be awesome! Lets see, lose the smoke deflectors and that long dome on the boiler, get a front plow, maybe a GN Vanderbuilt tender, move the air pumps to the smokebox, build an all-weather cab, etc.:rolleyes:

    I'll take anything but the Heavy will do.
    Just a note: Märklin's 2-8-2 chassis is their worst puller (pulls better backwards). Their 4-6-2 is a much better puller.

    Leave room in the shell for tungsten or lead.
