    Jim,
Did ya finally figure out whether UP is calling these C45ACCTEs or ES44ACs yet? Looking like I'll have to change my listing on my site. [IMG]

On another list (LocoNotes), it was mentioned that UP was also ordering some Green Goats and something called a TES. What have you heard about this?

The post claims to get its source from Progressive Railroading's Feb. 2005 issue. It also confirms the number of new six-axle power UP is ordering.

As I understood it, the "goats" were just going to be a short lease thing. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Don't know if they'll even get UP paint or number series.

Ok, I've heard the rumors and have now seen a pic or two of the new C45ACCTEs running around. Anyone catch any yet??? Lets see some pics! :D

Also seen a pic of a new SD70ACe without all the lettering yet. Looks very interesting.

One yellow Green Goat, coming up!!

Was directed by Randy Keller from another list (Railspot) to the existence of one of his pictures on Railpictures.net. The second unit in the consist is UPY 2004, a "Green Goat" (OK, a Yellow Goat....). Apparently they ARE (or at least one is) getting UP colors, and from this I'd make a SWAG that the number series is in the lower 2000s. (once occupied by GP38-2s waybackyonderwhen.......)

Seen a pic somewhere else on the net of Y2004. Very very cool!!! Now I'm gonna have to figure out how many and what the series number range will be.

Is UP going to have to renumber any existing series for these new units or are they just going to stick them in here and there ? [IMG]

Nope, no renumberings I know of for this series to fit in. See beginning of thread for number series these are assigned. [IMG]
