Happy 2010 TrainBoard!! I've had train loads of fun hosting the many photo and video challenges of 2009 and wrapping the year up with the Photo/Video of the year contests has definitely been a cherry on top. Before we get into the voting for the End of the Year contests, I want to send thanks out to our contest moderator Adam (SteamDonky74). He has provided much appreciated help behind the scenes in getting these contests started back up, throughout the year, and during these End of the Year contests, so lets all give a shout of thanks out to him! Overall we had 130 entries from 65 members in our 6 End of the Year contests! (Unique members counted once for each contest entered in) Three of our contests have more entries than a single poll on TrainBoard can handle, therefore we'll start out with an elimination poll. This will work in the following manor: I'm going to post the entries that will be included in this elimination poll here, to this thread. I'll start with the first entry from each member in the order they were entered. Once every member has been included, I'll append the 2nd entry from each member, again in the order they were entered until we have 25 entries (the max options for the TrainBoard poll). For this Modeling Photo contest, we had 33 photos entered, so once the elimination vote is finished, the 17 photos with the most votes will move on to the final poll with the 8 photos not included in the elimination poll. This gives us 25 photos from which to select the 3 "TrainBoard Modeling Photos of the Year!" Each member may vote for as many photos in this poll as they wish (select them all at once before hitting "vote"). The elimination poll will last 3 days. Once I post all the photos to this thread, I will post the poll. Please DO NOT post comments until AFTER the poll is posted. Once the poll is posted, providing photo comments is greatly encouraged, however like the submission threads, please remove the photo from quotes so there are no excess photos visible. Good luck to all participants!

Stourbridge Lion - Vintage New York Central O Gauge Steam. This image taken January 3, 2009 is part of my Dad's childhood trainset that I now have as part of my collection of model trains. It's see allot of actual milage over the decades of use by both my dad as a child as well as by me when he started letting me run it as a kid on the floor over at Grandpa's house. And that makes 25 photos. Poll will be up shortly. From these photos the 17 that receive the most votes will be included in the final poll. Now feel free to post comments on these photos! Just remember to delete the photo from a quote.
And the poll is up! Let the voting begin for our final elimination vote. Next up, the final vote for the TrainBoard 2009 Prototype Video of the Year!
The "story" behind this fun graphic is I had to "Beg" the wife to allow me to more then over spend my Model RR budget to Pre-Order this very unique D&H engine. Lionel just recently posted that it is now being shipped to LHS's so I hope to have this engine as part of my collection soon! Yippe!!!!!!! :w20z6q::w20z6q::w20z6q::w20z6q:
