The more I see of these Geese, the more I like them! What is the brake system in them? I hear air, so there must be a compressor, located?
Don't know the technical details by I did find this statement on the break system "The system used straight air, so a loss of pressure would mean a loss of braking ability. The old hand brakes were thus retained for backup." All seven of these Galloping Geese are wonderful machines each with their own personality and story's and one of the folks that knows them the best (Stan Rhine) was also at the event. There is also a great Book and DVD on them that I have in my collection
Did you get these from the museum? Or another source? Is the DVD footage all recent? Or are there by any chance some old clips of them in actual RGS service?
I did get my copies from the CRRM and they do contain vintage photos / information. If you need more details I can certainly pull out my copies (like I need an excuses) and if you are looking to obtan a copy I can help with that too. I don't think the CRRM Online Store is up and running yet but the museum is not that far from my house so I can swing by there...
Upload another video from the event last night
