On another site, a photo showed up of a cab type diesel, FP45 or somesuch, with info that it once belonged to Doyle McCormack, who painted it in "20th Century Daylight" colors. I contacted the owner of the photo and he sent me some more. These two are the property of, taken by Keith Ardinger, used with his permission. Were any of you aware of this unit? Pretty spectacular, NY Central lightning stripes in SP Daylight colors! [IMG]

F45. I'd forgotten this ever existed. He must have sold it, to raise money for the PA project, or some such endeavor.

Sure is a nice looking scheme.

It's now the MRL 391, which interestingly enough helped the REAL Daylight 4449 over the 2.2% grades here in Montana for Montana by Steam II

Hmmm. I'm not keeping up on my MRL activities..... I may have my railfan license revoked?

Nightrain- You're in Montana? Holy cow!!! This is the first time I've noticed anyone else from here. [IMG]

I saw that unit on the old friends of the 4449 site. It was towing the engine onto the turntable.
