Henrik, it's time for a new Layoutplan. This time you will make it better then bevor and we all are happy to see the results. Don't give up please!
Hi Henrik you get to rework it the way you want it now. I do this all the time. I had my end module all built up, an I did not like it, so I tore it down to rebuilt. This is a picture of it before: And here is how it looks now:
Hmmm .... looks like something my " C A T ! ! " did on my layout ... ONCE! But then again ...
Hey, don't get frustrated! It's a new beginning. I look at my layout every day and think man, I shoulda' done this or I shoulda' done that. But then I think hey, run some trains on that big, vast, "pink" landscape, and I relax more and start daydreamin' again!
Looking good Henrikh. You are very talented for a 14 year old. I know I wasn't capable of doing something this good when I was a 14. Come to think of it, I am not capable of doing something this good now. Great job. Remember, great modeller can alway overcome a mistake.
I wish I had the patience at 14 to do what you have done - don't give up! Think of everything you do on your layout as a learning experience!
In violent agreement. At age 14 I was on about my fifth layout, having been frustrated by what I had or had not accomplished up to that point. My first layout board had become the door to the crawl space under my parents' back porch, and after attempting to fill a 4 x 6 layout with way too little track and no budget, I was "demoted" back to a 2 x 4 area. I think you are way ahead of the curve... keep at it!
Frustration is a great thing, it brings about change. Considering the post dates, you went from old to new in 2 days. (looks good too ! ). I'm impressed that the cardboard stayed smooth and flat. What did you coat it with?
Incredible work! At 28, I am just now getting good enough to lay good track. I'll only call it good, not great--more improvement needed for that! You have exemplary skills for your age--well done! At 14, I built a layout--what a failure. A 4-axle diesel couldn't make it around the curves, they were so badly kinked. Forget about a six-axle unit! The whole thing got tossed several years ago.
It is starting to take shape! I also scratch a loading ramp and a gas station...... (i`ll post in the scratch topic tomorrow) look closely at the engine to... see someting special? (i need to update my site :embarassed: )
Very nice ! Good detail, nice 3D and depth-of-focus in the pix. Can't say I see what you are hinting at with the engine.
That's a real cool scene Henrik! The overhead crane really looks great, and all the details make it it a busy looking service yard.
