Just got this from MRHA, Wed. June 21st the 261 will run from the Twin Cities to Milw. pulling Minnisota River sleeper, business car Montana, Super Dome 53 and the Cedar Rapids skytop lounge. They will run on the CP main line making all the Amtrak stops, which means it is going right behind my feed mill!!!!! ( keep the camera warmed up) Fri. nite June 23rd evening dinner run from Milw. to Sturtevant and back. Sat. June 24th and Sun. June 25th one trip each day Milw. to Wisconsin Dells round trip. passengers will get off in the Dells and the train will go on to New Lisbon to turn around on the wye. (guess who will be in New Lisbon both days) only 10 min. from my house. No ticket price listed but you can bet it is pricey$$$. Definitly will be there and get as many pic's as I can.
sounds like you're going to have some great railfanning. 261 is an amazing engine (I've only seen it on video, tho)

I like to keep them the way they were taken, old fashioned, I guess. I have photoshop but haven't really learned to use it yet. Here's another one, posted here before, same trip, July 4th. No cars, only people are on the overpass.
Great pics. I tell ya, it doesn't look right to have an Amtrak P42 (??) and a 4-8-4 running in the same consist.
