Hi all, Santa mother in law got this for me and I've been fooling with it every chance I get. Very simple to use and addicting!. If ya don't have it, I believe there is a demo out to try. You guys and gals have gotta get it! It would be pretty cool to exchange plans and/or post 'em here. Later, Andy
Moose, that is how I make the drawings I post on the "How to, Tip" forum, and I plot track, turnouts, my roundhouse, etc. all full size, then use it as a pattern for cutting. Works great. With 3D you can rotate it any direction to see what fits too. ------------------ Watash #982
What's their web address? Thanks, Bill ------------------ "Follow the Flag" Heck, I'll drink to that!
try www.abracadata.com They have the demo and if ya buy it from them direct, it's BIG money. Cheapest I've seen is 59 bucks at www.outpost.com If ya do buy it, they have updates and databases galore to download and upgrade.
I have this one too, but I don't like the way it makes turnouts. I also find the "run trains" mode a little silly and useless . I downloaded Atlas 5.0 for free and I like it much better. Easier to use, for me at least. Yeah I found the turnout feature a little strange too until I opened the Walthers track database and used all the code 83 stuff. The switches then became more realistic to use in a plan. I have the Atlas 5.0 program too but find it is annoying to use. I also tried 3rd Planit and wasn't impressed. As far as the run train mode, I can take it or leave but, my little boy loves it so it is well worth it's weight in gold.
