Anyone know how to save a 3rd PlanIt file to be posted to a web page? It only gives me the option to save as a 3rd PlanIt file. I think it's .3pi!

Any suggestions helpful. And I have tried to access the Yahoo group several times with no success!

    Thanks!

Does 3rd PlanIt have an option for exporting files? It should be in the File menu. With Cadrail, I can export as .DXF or .BMP files, among others. If it doesn't, you can always do a screen capture (hit "Print Scrn") and paste it into an image editor.

In version 6.03 go to File | Export | View To File. This allows you to save the selected viewing area to a jpg file. Else you can use the "print screen" method. Print screen will place a bmp of the entire screen in the clipboard. You can then open another paint program and paste the clipboard and then select the area you are interested in, and save that to a file. But the easiest is to do it from the file export menu.
There is a group on yahoo for 3rd PlanIt, and there are always someone who are able to help, so if you have more questions, try that place.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks Jesper,
I did download the update and can now save as a jpeg to post on a website. I still can't get into the Yahoo group, but will figure it out eventually : )

Another option is Adobe Acrobat if you happen to have it. It installs on your computer like a printer, so it works with any software that can print.

When you choose File Print, Acrobat saves a PDF file. Most anyone can read that format, and it is optimized pretty well for web publishing and downloads.
