I'm currently working on 53' containers in Z scale. Here is a pic of the wax detail... the first side of the brass master is being milled as I type this. I have better detail on the brass. Man I love my CNC mill!! I will be offer resin castings of these soon. More details coming!

That's really cool Eric! I can't wait to see how they come out! :D

Did you ever get your laser cutter?

    Robert,

Thanks! We are working on getting a lease on the laser. Hopefully it should arrive in about 3 weeks.

Did you know you can go straight from wax to resin? That freeman's machineable wax has outstanding de-molding properties, even better than rubber... though you can't have any undercuts. If you're doing flat castings, it might be easier than cutting a brass master. Though, if you're casting the whole container in one shot, it wouldn't work out.

Will your 53' container be solid or hollow?

How about 45' or 48' containers. There is already a 53' containers from TNT.
