I just received my FR 56' Husky car, and it looks great. I order only one because I wasnt sure if it would negotiate some of the tight curves on my layout, and to my surprice, it went though without problems. The cars is build in similar fashion as the Maxi III and the shorter Husky, but its design to use AZL trucks. On the earlier designs, the AZL trucks are too big. I find the AZL trucks are perfect for intermodal cars. You dont switch intermodal cars, and they are almost impossible to uncouple. The addition of the 56" Husky is adding some variety to my intermodal car fleet.

    John,

You could decide to convert the first and last truck of the string of intermodal cars to MTL to be able to uncouple at least the locomotives remote. I did simular with my Märklin Bundesbahn hoppers for my EU layout

John, thank you for posting the photo. It is great! I am so happy you like the car. I think they are outstanding! Harald at FR outdid himself yet again.

This is the Ztrack Magazine / FR subscriber car for 2008. It is the first version with CN container and exclusive HUB Goup container. The car carries road number 560058. This car was produced by reservation only, and is now sold out.

But there is good news for Ztrack Magazine Subscribers who missed out on pre-ordering. There is a 2nd version that comes with a blue Crowley container and exclusive Hub Group container. We have four extra of these cars available. The car is road number 560060. This car is only available to Ztrack subscribers.
