Southbound on train 568(Lillooet-North Vancouver) on the 56 mile bridge in the Cheakamus Canyon. This was where, shortly after CN took over that 2 derailments occured. The first dumped a tank car of Caustic soda into the river. Apologies for the CN power(especially the noisy thundercab leading), but the BC Rail power is getting ever more scarce on the south end of the old BCR.

Sure is beautiful scenery. I wonder how many of the crews take a few seconds to look around and enjoy?

It is unbelievable scenery, from Horseshoe Bay to Lillooet.

    Scenery

The scenery between Horseshoe Bay and Lilloet is to say the least "Fantastic". I had the pleasure of riding the BCRail Budd cars from North Van to Prince George in 1975.
Rode with engineer Bill Hales as far as Lilloet. Took lots of photos too.
I imagine Mr. Hales has passed away by now but I'll always remember his friendly personality.
