Due to space issues I had to change my layout from a 8x12 to a 4x8, might make it a 4x9 before its all said and done with. I got my layout done, its nothing special, 2 main loops with a few turn outs. I cut out foam today to get an idea where I want the road to go, I don't have alot of room but will try to maximize it as much as I can without making it look too cluttered. My plan right now is to make the 2 work yards dirt, what i'm on the fence about is if I should make the roadways dirt or asphalt. Suggestions of any kind are welcome.

I would make the long main one asphalt and the drives dirt. The variety would make sense and also make for more visual interest.

I've been on vacation all this week so I've been able to get some work done on the layout. Let me know what you think.

The layout looks good. Just keep adding more layers of dirt and ground cover till you get the desired effect. I tend to pile it on when I do scenery.

Where are the locos? No locos in the pics. :)
