DENVER - The Regional Transportation District is joining other agencies across the country to urge people to use public transportation on June 19th. The day is designed to raise awareness of the financial and environmental benefits of using public transportation. According to the American Public Transportation Association, a household with two workers who use public transportation saves about $6,200 a year compared to a household that does not use public transportation.
