Craig, TRAINtrak will be there again this year. Because of work schedules we are thinking about arriving very early Saturday. What time does the venue open on Saturday for set up?
Was going to see about flying out but hotels in the area are crazy. 3 nights cost more then then the flight and rental car. rich
Like last year there is a three day heavy metal concert at Mapfre Stadium with the likes of Metallica, Soundgarden and Korn + others so lodging is hard to come by.
Vendors and clubs can get in at 8am on Saturday, the show opens to the public at 10a on Saturday. Just let me know for sure what you decide. see you later, craig
The question of motel rooms has arisen and we were unable to obtain special rates probably due to the Rock at Crew Stadium and the Koman Race for the Cure. The motels wanted us to guarantee the number of rooms and pay for any not reserved by a date certain. A list of local hotels follows: Knightâs Inn Hilliard 614-710-1060 Hilliard Suites 614-529-8118 Hampton Inn 614-334-1800 Red Roof Inn 614-878-9245 Quality Inn 614-771-8944 Holiday Inn 614-335-1150
The Dayton-Springfield area has plenty of hotels that will probably not be affected by the concert. The Dayton-Springfied area is about an hour west of Columbus and has its own airport too.
There is a big convention in Dayton that same weekend. I think it is amateur ham radio operators. Supposedly a big event that will suck up a lot of lodging.
I sent my participant registration and purchased a meal today. Will be there with NEINS. Will be are 8th year to participate. 1st year just attended. Know will have a great time again. Dan
