Along with the MetroNorth derailment, picked up this report of a Southwestern freight train derailing in New Mexico, killing three. Not a good weekend to be an investigator. I can personally only hope those three souls didn't suffer...

Too many who write these things wouldnt know a train if it came up behind them, and gave them a swift kick...
Also a note of sadnes , a 19 yr old girl got hit at Elmira Ida last week by a north bound BNSF on an unregulated ( private ) crossing ... no, she did not survive.
