I am also coming over from the LIRR thermomods board and want to thank Steve Lynch as well! Looking forward to meeting some new people, as well as some of the more familiar folks. Been checking out the site, and enjoying it, a very nice group of people. As well as LIRR history, i have also gotten back into model railroading in HO scale. I'm currently working on a 4X8 layout with my 4 and 6 year old sons, nothing too fancy but just trying to get something going. Thanks again, John D.
John Welcome to the TrainBoard, glad to have you on board. I know nothing about the LIRR even though I grew up about 40 miles north of "The Island". However, I did ride from Port Jefferson to Penn Station one evening about 60 years ago. Don't remember anything negative about the ride so it must have been on time. :tb-biggrin:
Welcome to TrainBoard! Hope you'll share some of your modeling efforts. Photos, track plan? We enjoy seeing these from any real or fictional empire, any scale.
Thanks for the warm welcome, very nice to be here! I will definitely be posting some photos as soon as the 3 day wait is over.
