As some of you know, I have started doing some One-track modules for myself, primarily for some switching at home. My hope is to eventually have 4 or 5 modules that could be added to a spur to my NTrak clubs layout for operating sessions, etc. I have one module with the track to be glued down this upcoming weekend (it’s already painted and soldered to the leads). But before I start doing some scenery, I wanted to get some input on some other options of track design and scenery plan. I have some of the specifics on the image file, but what I’m looking for is a 3-4 module plan for a northeastern Oklahoma town that incorporates the track I already have ready to go. There will be switching, but I want to have a fair amount of scenery on it to help the railroad be a part of the scene, not vice versa. If you have questions, please let me know. I look forward to hearing what ideas everyone can come up with. Here are some specifics: Modules All modules are 18 x 48 Town requirements: Will have a main road that runs through town (2 lane highway) The town will cover portions of 3 modules Would like to have a trailer park at the edge of town Provide large enough area along main road to have a gas station The town will be reminiscent of a town of around 2000 people Will have some places for residences, not entirely business area This is a branch line, a fictional subsidiary of the Katy Track requirements for the layout I would like a double ended siding to use a passing siding Service to a grain elevator (cornerstone kit (ADM I believe) Grain elevator will have an adjoining feed store that will have track access Propane/diesel unloading facility Team Track Farm implement dealership 2 stall engine house (Rix 2 stall loco shop) 1 track fuel and sand service—for diesel only, this is a modern scene I’m using Peco code 55 with medium length turnouts (#6??) End of module setup will interface at typical One-track locations Bonuses: A small stream diamond for intersecting route Some other industry siding Old cattle loading pens
