Beautiful pictures, You and Carolyne are doing quite well.but you are right, they do travel awfully fast over there..here in the states the top speed is 79 mph..about 110-115 kmph if my math is right! When I come over to visit my baby, I will be near the EWS railway in the Swansea Area.....but I am going to try to get a little east and north into England if I can. Keep the pics, I love them

Some pretty good pics there, I like the top one of the HST best, that's really quite striking. Plenty of the Turbostar's about too I see. We don't get many of them down our way!

Ref the Eurostar, GNER I think has at least 2 complete sets leased & painted "stealth blue", and hires in a standard Eurostar scheme one when it needs it, so the other half of that set is probably in for maintainence. Even though they are all formed as two half sets, the same pairs of half sets always seem to get put back together....quite unusual!

I guess I'm lucky in a way, at all of my local photo spots even the HST's are doing nothing like 125mph! :D

Thats what Carolyne probably thinks when she gets her train back to Ipswich.......... she would love to have one of them to ride on instead of the rust bucket she normally has

StickyMonk, those are great photos ... Thanks! [IMG] They bring back memories of 60 years ago and the New York Central Hudson Division, when it was a very busy 4-track main with high-speed named passenger trains every few minutes.

Matt, Don't you mean puddle jumper ?!! :D

I think I'd be willing to pay that little extra if I could come home in more comfort rather than a 3 inch space for my legs! at only 5'4'' I pity all those taller than me who rely on Anglia Railways! ;) :D
