My coal dealer at Salina sells also oil. So he needs a house for the oil and a tank. A came about a nice project in the Narrow Gauge And Short Line Gazette. Here's my version: A core from foam, double sided tape and Campbell's. For the roof I've used polystyrene. Wolfgang
I will post pictures. But after my PDT therapy. For now, the pump house is the attached shed. Wolfgang
Wolfgang- Just curious- Looking at the corrugated siding in its shining new condition and wondering. What would you do to have it still looking galvanized, but show the flatter, streaky, weathered and oxidized state I've seen so many times? But non-rusted. What product would you suggest to create that appearance? Boxcab E50
Ken- Whenever I have done corruagted aluminum, I have always painted it SP lettering grey. That tones it down and gets the grey affect you see with galvanized steel. I then usually seal it with dullcote. To get the rust effect I do a drybrush effect using a combination of rust, rail brown, a little bit of white, and earth. If you have the N scale Jult/Aug 2009 you will see the final effect for the roof of my sawmill that I built for the UNW. Ryan
