Hi guys, I received an On30 0-4-0 Porter in the mail today from an e-bay purchase. Its new BUT the pilot is bent down. Any ideas on how to fix the problem? John
Well, I fixed that problem BUT I now have an operation problem. She runs smoothly forward but is hurkey jerkey in reverse. Any thoughts???
Sounds like something is binding. I wonder what happens at the output shaft of it's motor? Does torque pull it back, so the gears don't mesh properly? :sad: Boxcab E50
Hmmm, possible. I think it will have to come apart so I can see what is going on with it. I am afraid that it must have been dropped at one point. It does seem more like binding or a little "hop" than anything else. Ugghhhh I HATE dismantling these things. John

Yeah I hope so. Like I said in the O forum, I hae to take it apart eventually anyhow for a decoder, so I can wait till then. Got this thing at a reasonable price from a fellow who is losing his eyesight and needs to get out of the hobby. John
