While looking for ballast information I found this on the Internet. It was a good while ago so who knows where I found it. I modified the original authors (I don't remember his name) work a bit so if it's messed up it's my fault. I'll just let the conversation between a model railroader and his better half speak for it self. I have a lot of empathy for him. :tb-smile: An Electric Razor MRR: "Honey, I need an electric razor." His Better Half: "Why? You've used a razor for 45 years. Why change now?" MRR: "Well, it's not exactly for my face." His Better Half: "I'm not sure I want to hear the rest of this." MRR: "You see, this guy came up with a really cool idea for spreading ballast on the tracks..." His Better Half: "What's ballast?" MRR: "You know, those rocks around the railroad tracks." His Better Half: " Where are you getting them from, your head?" MRR: "No. I buy packages of them at the hobby shop." His Better Half: "You spend good money on little packages of rocks..." MRR: "We're getting of the topic here. I need the electric razor to spread them out easier." His Better Half: An ice gold glare and then absolute silence in the room. See ya Switchman
There are also feminine care products that produce constant vibration... but it might be difficult to explain THAT one to visitors or the wife or the kids!!
