The other day we discovered what we believe is a tunnel built by Paul cassar and his buddies to gain access to my kits. This hole appeared not far from my workshop . . . . . . we thought we had better check the extent of the tunnelling . . . . . . when the spade was inserted, it nearly reached Australia . . . . . . but we filled the hole to foil the plan
I cant believe our plan has been foiled. The final part of the jigsaw was Gary's visit, unbeknown to you guys Gary spent the whole night digging a tunnel from your workshop to the yard connection. In his haste he must have missed filling in the tunnel connection. The tunnel finished in my layout room and was to be the distibution centre for PC & GR models Oh well back to the drawing board BTW a hole like that usually suggests maybe a broken drainage as the soil maybe disappearing down the drain.
Actually, there was a small elm tree there 30 years ago when we moved in, it contracted Dutch Elm Disease after a couple of years and had to be cut down. The hole was a result of the roots rotting away, and some heavy rain finally made it collapse. Must have been a cavity under there for some time!

I was out in the garden on that Monday night I was visiting and I did sort of do a little digging in the garden and I couldn't quite hear what Paul was yelling to me... and if you are looking for a missing garden trowel... Sorry! Gary. (underground excavator extraordinaire and scourge of manicurists!)
I thought maybe our "pet" nutria which has completely undermined our backyard had turned into a railfan and payed you a visit. It's great to see some traffic here in the Tank again.
