The AAPRCO 2014 Mid-Term Special passed through Saucier, MS on its way to Gulfport. This line, originally built by the Gulf & Ship Island in 1912, has not seen a passenger train since about 1950.

Regardless of any modern amenities, those possessed by today's passenger equipment, nothing can touch the beauty of these older cars.

Awesome pictures!!! Thank you for sharing them and the awesome video!. Glad you was able to catch this train heading southbound. On the northbound run on Sunday Amtrak Heritage 822 will be leading. I will be heading to the port on Saturday to get pictures of the train in the afternoon light and then Sunday my big day chasing the train from Gulfport to Hattiesburg, MS.
