The Track Plan for my CSX Aberdeen Subdivision in N scale layout The Connection track to the NS line at Colon will be longer than shown in the plan. Any suggestions, comments?
Yeah, I was going to say something like that. I quickly built your layout in XTrakCad and ran some train simulations on it. It seems that the lengths of the interchange connections (even though you said the Colon connection would be bigger) really limit any operations. And will this set be primarily to watch trains just go around, or were you hoping to perform operations like spotting cars, etc.? If you'd like, I can send you the XTrakCad file to play around with. It runs like a little virtual model railroad so it's great not only for track planning, but for testing out your ideas before you start laying track. -Matt
