http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/TV/05/28/obit.gary.coleman/index.html?hpt=T2 I just found out about this. For a time he was one of the most visible Model Railroaders out there; I once saw him in person at Allied Model Trains in Los Angeles. R.I.P., Gary.
I used to watch "Diff'rent Strokes" as a kid, and I tried imitating some of his mischievous activities at home but found a different response than a laugh track. I am sorry for all the problems he had, such as the kidney issues, and I hope that he has found peace.
Sad, 42 is no age. "Diff'rent Strokes" was a TV programme which made it across the Atlantic and was well known, and liked, amongst my age group. RIP Phil
This is so sad as I remmber him well. " May GOD keep and hold safe Mr. Gary Coleman, May comfort his loved ones and fans in this there darkest hour. R.I.P. "
Interesting you mention this, I bumped into him too at Allied Trains! Talked to him like a friend, no attitude at all! RIP Gary, green signals westbound........
Too Young, yes, but on the other hand, he had 2 Kidney transplants when he was a child, so from that perspective, we should think perhaps that he was very lucky indeed.
Thanks for the post Elson. I also had the chance to say hi to him at Allied Trains. Man that was a long time ago, early 90's.
