Here are three options for converting this car

I n the picture showing the three cars line up side by side, The bottom car shows a MTL 905/903 installed on the base of the pocket for the original Rapido coupler. The middle car shows the Dummy knuckle that came with the ROkuhan DD51 replacing the Rapido coupler, it is easy to change just pull the Rapido out and push the Rokuhan Dummy knuckle into the pocket. The top one I have removed the Rapido pocket from the truck and installed a MTL 905/903 as a body mount. surprisingly all three come out at the correct coupler height. In the bottom conversion I popped the cover off of the rapido coupler box, then remove everything sticking up from the base of the pocket and even ran a file over the boss at the rear of the pocket to provide some extra clearance at the back of the plate. Once you have cleared the plate you will see a small square indentation just ahead of where the base of the pin was cut off. This is where you want to drill a NO 62 hole for the mounting screw for the 905/902. you can tap it 00-90 but I prefer to use the screw as the tap and get a tighter fit, but don't over tighten and strip the hole. the second picture shows the 905/903 installed on the base of the original Rapdo coupler pocket. The 905/903 has been shortened by removing with an exacto knife the back wall of the 905/903 pocket. before cutting hold the coupler top and bottom with an alligator clip so you do not break the heat welds in the plastic at the front of the box. Just cut the back wall off if you go to fare you will open up the spring pocket on the coupler itself. If you need to remove more you can do once the rear wall is removed as you can see the back of the spring pocket and be able to ensure you don't cut it. I suspect this conversion can be applied to the passenger cars, the tank cars, and the put not the open hoppers. This container flat could also be sued as a regular flat car by cleaning off the top deck flush then adding a new deck of scribed styrene. the car is 65 ft long by 8 ft wide
