Hello there friends. I am building the first of several modules. It is intended to be a freelance project but using solely the fleet of American Steam 4-6-0s Casey Jones locomotives. I really like these brass locomotives and have already begun on this project. However as I consider what automobiles and other vehicles would suit this period, I seem to be having great difficulty finding ones I can easily purchase.
Ideally I'd like to have the Marklin 89020 (although they are not American) but there seem very few available and very expensive when they turn up.
I am aware of MicroArt's vehicle kits from the early 1900s but have not have any experience with them.

I suppose my question is that what do my fellow modellers who model American steam use for vehicles on their layouts? Any guides, links, photos, offers to sell would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Gavin

I have built the Micron Art Model T, but I modified it a bit. The Micron Art kits are a lot of work, but the results can be superb. I would think for the era you are talking about you would want a lot of horse-drawn stuff.

Wow. Thank you very much everyone. I really interested in the ones from Alvaro and also CSIKAPE from Hungary...but I have to say...THAT picture of the Micron Art vehicle!!! And I know they are still available from Zscalemonster. Eaelec, could you elaborate on what you mean by so much work?
Is that assembling or just bending the brass into shape? Any more pics?

    Thanks so much.

That A2 outfit is kind of amusing. They go to the trouble to duplicate the details of a 1956 Plymouth Belvedere and a 1955 Studebaker President Speedster accurately enough that they can be identified, then they mislabel them by two to three years...

How can people with that good an eye for detail be so sloppy with the details?

About Micron Art - Yes lots of small parts that need to be bent into lots of shapes. But for details like spoked wheels or steering wheels in Z scale, photo etched is the only way to go.

Hi! The earlier cars I can offer are 1930 Ford panel trucks (photo below). Still have few available, if you're interested.
I have a facebook page, if you would like to check: facebook.com/JMC-Scale-Models-341193572911400/
Although, my focus is mainly on late-1940's to early 1970s era cars.
