Who is the "World’s Greatest Modeler."? Why that’s me of course. :ru-shocked:

I have decide to give Model Railroader Magazine the privilege of being the first to publish my articles. This is something I've been planing on for a long time. And no matter what any other member may say it was my idea
I do not use other peoples bad suggestions, only my own bad suggestions.

So sit back, relax, and read the most amazing cover letter to a publisher you have ever seen. Oh! BTY (that means By the way) you can look them up (I know it'll be hard for most of you) but if a bunch of you get together, maybe you'll be able to read a British slang dictionary to find the meaning of some of the words.

Well here it is, Now don't feel bad but TWGM is such a terrific writer you may have your self esteem lowered a bit more. But that's OK, I'll still like (some)of you.

Cover letter to Model Railroader Magizine.

Hello Cory or whatever your name is,

I would like to discuss the possibility of submitting some of my very great articles to your magazine.

Most all of your “How To” articles are written for the average (or below) model railroader reader.

But really, you should have a real expert review your magazine before it’s published. All my articles will be from a real expert, “The World’s Greatest Modeler” and of course that’s me, my own self. Why I’m the most experienced Modeler there ever was and a genuine (Ya know what an expert is, a former drip) I mean expert.

Now I don’t want to hurt your feelings but (I’m the WGM so I know) for many years you have been using incorrect scale designations for, “HO”,”N”, and “O.” Here are the correct model railroad nomenclature,

“HO” is really “HL” or TH” (OMG the true story in next article.) look it up in a British slang dictionary.
“N” is Really “NAFF”. look it up in a British slang dictionary.
“O” is really “OMG, it’s so Big.” This refers to the locomotive size. I know you were not thinking of something else.

In regard to “Z” there’s no such scale, you just made it up and photo-hoped (its spelled this way not photo-shopped) the pictures. More about this in my upcoming article, "How to get Rich Quick Selling Imagery trains".

Some of my other articles will include , How to Bake Dirt for realistic ground cover, Caution when using White Glue and eating cookies, Children (are they best enjoyed fried or boiled) and, your Modle Traims, Spell Checkurs and Dictionaries give the wrong spelling.

I know you say its six to twelve months before you publish and article. But due to the high quality and accuracy of my articles I’m sure you’ll want to bump some other stuff (like that guy Pete Nolan him and his boats) out of future issues to get mine in.

No need to call me, I know you just can’t resist, because I and my articles are so great. And also because not only am I “The World’sGreatest Modeler” but I’m also a radgie gadgie.

Look to see me and my next 365 articles real soon.

    So Long TWGM

    See ya
    Ron

That must have been some wine you were drinking. Just keep in mind that sarcasm rarely works online.

When I did support for Microsponge, er, Microsoft I learned very quickly:
Expert (definition): A person who is unaware of how little they know.
I look forward to future displays of acumen. :)

Hurrumph, and I thought I was the greatest. Me thinks it's time to get my crow bar out and rumble. Oh, that's right I'm just a nobody. Just a ordinary, every day, mundane, boring, untalented, know nothing and one very tired... railroad modeler. Yep, that be me.

You know you just might spice things up around here. Pretty boring as of late. Over active M's and A's so becareful. Watch out for those know it all's. Yep, I think you are just what's needed around here.

Looking forward to your optimistic MR articles.

At least you know better then to call your self a "Turnoutman".

    Grin!

Hmmmm. Methinks you need to throw yer hat in da ring with them other hopefuls and go for the big office in DC Land. With all them qualifications you have about as good a chance or better than the others of coming up with a budget that works since nobody else has. And everybody know we modelers have to work on a very limited balanced budget. So if you decide that way I might be available for Undersecretary of Transportation (Railroads).

    LOL Wise @$$.

    No respect for the Rails.

Careful you are liable to end up with a dead fish in one of those care packages.

    One in every crowd....thankfully. Grin.
