The motorcar boys that have leased the entire line from Ione to Martell are hosting an MOW convention of sorts, lots of MOW stuff will be on display in Ione. the plan inlcudes bringing the 10 down to Ione as well. May 12-13
I'll try, but no promises. I do need to photograph her myself though. Every pic I have on my site is from someone else.
I will be. I am a member of RRC the outfit that leases the AFRR. I intend to be on the crew that brings the #10 down. And I will be taking as many pictures as possible. My wife and I spend the entire weekend there with our motor home and try not miss anything. Shannon

Hi all: Keith Berry and I will be at the Ione Railfair Saturday afternoon. We have a workday at the El Dorado Western engine house in the morning, but plan to leave Placerville around noon (or a little later). What time is the No. 10 running? From Martel to Ione?
John, My wife and I will be leaving about 7 in the morning and we expect to be in Ione about 9 or so. I have been assigned to the flagging crew. My wife will proablly help out with the Operation Life Saver booth as Zoe Robinson there rep. is not able to attend because of the accident in Riverbank. I will have a yellow safety vest and a white wide brimmed hat on. Hope to see you all there. Shannon And i will take some pictures.
Well, while I was there, I didn't manage to hook up with any of you who were attending. #10 was a no show. I went to Martell and the fellas there were unaware she was even supposed to run to Ione. Bummer. However I did get some interesting news. See my new thread on AFRR #10.
We didn't get there until 4:30 pm -- it was a long work day at the museum. When we arrived, all the speeders were coming into the yard off of the AFRR main. Keith and I did get a chance to ride the FEDS Skagit No. 30 briefly. Keith and I are talking about getting the CP< No. 4 speeder ready for next year ...
Yes Steve! I was hoping to see the CPLT #4 there. Also was really hoping to see the CPLT #3. I don't have any pics of it but have seen it in person in Camino.
We're going to work on getting the #4 fully operational for next year. We had too much going on in the engine house to give up a day at the railfair. CP< No. 4 is operational except for the brake (only a small issue!). Do you have pics of the 4? If not, I can send a few (on it's trailer). I wasn't aware of No. 3. A speeder like No. 4?
Yep, here's #4: If memory serves me correctly, #3 is identical. Last time I saw it was in a driveway of a home on Cable Drive in Camino. Went back later for pics but believe it was in the garage.
Sure do Boxcab! Here is Camino,Cable & Northern railbus #10. Originally Diamond & Caldor #10 named the Talley Ho. Here is a shot of the trailer for it too. These items along with Diamond & Caldor Shay #4 are being restored by the El Dorado Western Railway Foundation at the El Dorado County Museum in Placerville,CA. Both Steve's blog, http://eldoradowestern.blogspot.com/ and the EDWRF site, http://www.edwrf.org/index.html have much more information and many pics.
