Going to the train show up in Timonium today and finding what I've been looking for for awhile. Just added a nice big S-2 Northern to the GN steam roster. The original with Kato motor, been out of the box once to test run, the 2nd time was when I test run it today before buying. Original Concor box with all the paperwork including a note that said " We are sorry that due to the differences between the Yen and the American dollar we had to increase our prices. As requested one almost N.I.B. CC 4-8-4 Northern old version. They did get the tender right on this one since it was the only loco with the all welded Vandy. Another shot. Just you won't find Ronnie there anymore.
Happiness is also wondering what to do with some old Red Ball underframes and parts picked up on eBay and having someone offer you free MDC carbodies for boxcars, reefers, and a stock car. Two cars are already done: and Now working on a reefer.
It was a great show for me! I picked up a set of MDC boxcars lettered for the Seaboard System. Those will go GREAT with my Chessie locomotives!
