Ahh the fun when the $%^&$ decals are not right or incomplete.

The case in question is the Burlington Northern passenger car decals. The hockey stick stripe didn't last long enough to be worth hardly noticing being quickly replaced by the straight white stripe. However to do that I have had to cut to width some wide white stripes to finish out to patch the short strips which in some cases still aren't long enough for the hockey stick. And no road name at all on the sheets just the BN lettering. Nearly every photo I have found has the Burlington Northern spelled out behind the BN letters. Would have been nice if there was about two extra white stripes to do the straight stripe without either having to cut stripes to width of off a sheet of white stripes or lay waste to a 2nd sheet of decals. Also what happened to the car numbers for regular passenger cars. All my poor eyes find on the sheet are the BNA business car numbers and absolutely no numbers in the range that the regular cars carried.

Fortunately I did order some extras and also both diesel and caboose decal sheets which I can cobble together the road name and numbers and be using the correct fonts and number sizes. However I should not have to go through both the trouble and extra expense to get something that is reasonably right. I seems like the company who I have not named, but we all know of whom I speak, could have spent a little more time on research and came up with a much better sheet for the passenger cars. End of rant and back to your regular programing.

I feel your pain . I too have had problems with a certain decal maker as well , but my problem ( in three different sets) was that the lettering was too large . I think they assumed that N scale is only fifty percent smaller than HO scale.

I believe it was Menk who insisted the "Burlington Northern" name accompany the logo. This lasted until the BN Executive Scheme SD70MACs.
