It runs very fast on the club layout at 1/2 throttle. I was wondering on what I could do. Or I can ship it to someone to have fixed tho slow it down to make it more realistic. Some one who is trustworthy. Please let me know.

I have a dummy unit of that model. I also have an AHM RS-1 that is similar in performance (and the record-breaker in the deafening racket department...). I surmise that your unit is one of those with the truck-mounted motor?

Mechanically there's nothing to do. One might put a resistor in series with the motor but that would be a hit-and-miss procedure just to find the right resistor (value and rating) to limit the current. But that's a lot of trouble for improving something that can't really be improved.

I would look for a used Proto C-Liner for cheap (much easier if you want DC only). They run very well (and a lot quieter), and look much better vs. the prototype. A better investment of time and money, if you ask me.

I bought my two C-Liners used at train shows and I like them a lot. :)

Wow... it looks like there was some detail work done on it - the wire grab rails notably (like the job on a Bachmann F9 I'm doing) - and a little extra painting and knuckle couplers. Though it's the same shell, I have to admit it looks better than my dummy unit (which is B&O, it was part of a set of Model Power A-B sharks I bought for $25 at a train show).

Still, on the electrical-mechanical side, there's no quick fix.
