Anyone using air powered switch machines to throw the points on their turnouts? If so which brand are you using?
I was only aware of one brand, Dell Air or something like that. However, I usually do manual throws on my NTRAK modules except for when I hook up my dog bone loops and need to reverse the yellow line. I have some Peco switch motors in that case. They are a bit loud but it is nice to know the one at the other end of the layout did its thing. For a home layout the air activated switching does sound intriguing.
I seem to recall an article in Model Railroader a long time ago (1960s ?). The only time I have seen it in use was on a layout tour in Rockford, Illinois on an O scale layout. The magazine index on Trains.com might help you find the article.
