who here has used the UNIVERSAL AIRBRUSH CLEANING STATION from Testors? Is it any good? How easy or hard is it to use? And will it work with an Azteck airbrush?
I have used this tool for over three years and I highly reccomend it! It works with all airbrushes, Aztek included. Its nice because it allows you to run water or thinner through the brush, spraying it into the glass basin, while the filter keeps out the fumes. I usally use an old Testors brush to swirl the water or thinner in the color cup as I spray into the cleaning station. I always bring this tool to my airbrush seminars throughout the midwest. Jim
I just looked on the Testors website and didn't find anything called "UNIVERSAL AIRBRUSH CLEANING STATION". It does list an "Aztek Airbrush Cleaning Station" for $34.99, is that what y'all are talking about?
I have used it but I found there is an easier way to clean my airbrush. I have a container with water next to me. As soon as I am done with airbrushing or one color, I submerge the airbrush in the container completele and pull the trigger. The airbrush is cleaned and no paint vapore is sprayed into the air. With that I can remove about 95% of the paint in the airbrush gun and I only need a short blast with the real cleaner for the rest. I only use water based paint and Iwata airbrush that does not need a lot of cleaning.
I have been using the station with acrylics for two years. It fits the two brushes I have used which are an Aztec and a Badger
I've never paid attention to this item. Does it work with all types of paints? Solvent and otherwise? Boxcab E50
My bad,"Testors Easy Lift Off" Paint stripper,I use it every now & then.Especially when going from enamals to acrylic paints.
The station works with both solvent and acrylic and works with Aztek, Badger, Pasche and Iwata and others.
